Our nap and first tip is the Bolton v Newcastle match.
Newcastle are going through a dip in form, something we knew would happen at some point. After doing so well to get up to 3rd position in the Premier League, The Toon have now failed to register a win in their last 6 games and have duly dropped to 7th place.
Their opponents on Boxing day are Bolton, who may just be on the comeback trail after their important victory over Blackburn last time out, and confidence and team spirit may now be on the increase.
This game looks to have goals written all over it. Newcastle have scored on their travels in their last 6 matches, and Bolton will be on a high after their latest win.
Next up is Leicester City v Ipswich Town.
Leicester have begun to concede a few goals both home and away, while Ipswich have been involved in some very high scoring games recently.
Peterborough managed to breach the Leicester goal in The Foxes last home game, and there is no reason to believe that Ipswich, who have scored 7 in their last 3 games, won’t be able to do exactly the same.
Our 3rd selection is the Watford v Cardiff game.
This fixture has produced many ding dong battles historically, with goals flying in from all angles. Watford are recovering after an awful start to the league campaign, and love to play open and attacking football.
Cardiff are very stingy giving away goals at home, but on the road they certainly concede their fair share, and Watford’s attacking style should make for an open game with plenty of goalmouth action.
Our 4th tip for Boxing day is Morecambe v Accrington.
Morecambe have suffered a big dip in form, and are now winless in their last 6 games, although they have faced some of the best teams in League 2 in a very short space of time.
Accrington are doing very well recently, their change in fortunes has boosted them into mid division, and they are unbeaten in their last 4, scoring 9 goals.
The mixture of Morecambe now playing a lesser opponent, and Accrington being in good scoring form should be perfect for goals galore.
Other noteworthy games for Both Teams to Score bet:
- Bristol Rovers v Plymouth
- Cheltenham v Shrewsbury
- Hereford v Port Vale
