Weekend Banker Accumulator 20th April – Trotters Can Leap Into Play-Off Contention
With most domestic seasons coming to a close we have to be very careful with our choices this weekend. Their are far to many teams sitting around mid table with no pending relegation battle or championship aspirations. So this weeks selections are all based around teams who should be sweating blood for their cause.
Bolton vs Middlesbrough
Bolton to win at 4/5 888sport
Since the arival of Dougie Freedman, Bolton have really got their heads down and started putting in some decent performances. They now find themselves just a point off of a play off place with 3 matches remaining.
Their home form has been absolutely stunning winning the last 7 matches at the Reebok stadium. In these 7 fixtures they have conceded just 2 goals and have actually kept a clean sheet in the last 5 home matches.
Middlesbrough are on a completely opposite run of form. Away from home they have been dreadful, their last 11 fixtures reads Played 11, Won 0, Drawn 1, Lost 10 scoring a pitiful 5 goals, conceding an average of just over 2 goals per game.
I honestly cant see them bouncing back from this form against the tight back line of the trotters.
AZ Alkmaar vs PSV Eindhoven
PSV win at 4/5 888sport
PSV find themselves in the almost unheard of position of 3rd place, sitting 1 point off of a champions league spot with just 4 matches remaining.
The Dutch giants have an almost full squad to choose from and coach Dick Advocaat has vowed to secure a 2nd place finish for the fans starting with this weekends trip to the ASAS Stadion.
13th placed Alkmaar have been very inconsistent this term and now find themselves with very little to play for. They have won only 1 of their last 5 home matches losing 3, and looking further back they have only won 2 of the last 12 home matches, losing 7.
The head to head stats are heavily in PSV’s favor seeing them win 4 of the last 5 meetings and drawing the other.
Mansfield vs Wrexham
Mansfield win at 1/2 888sport
We find ourselves looking upon the final day of the conference league, and the first place and only automatic promotion spot is still up for grabs. Mansfield sit in pole position 2 points above Kidderminster with only 1 goal between the pair. They know that their destiny is in their own hands, and if Kidderminster win their match with lowly Stockport even a draw could see them miss out.
That kind of motivation not good enough for you? OK here are the stats. Mansfield have won the last 9 matches at the one call stadium, scoring a massive 31 goals conceding only 4 times keeping 5 clean sheets.
Wrexham can rest easy knowing that they have already booked their spot in the play offs being 13 points off 6th placed Hereford. They have lost 3 of their last 4 away matches and in my opinion the players will trying their best not to sustain injury and miss out on the play offs.
This treble pays 3.86/1, so a £10 stake will return £48.60 at 888sport. Good luck to all that get involved.
