Udinese v Celtic Live – Bhoys To Struggle?

Incredibly, Celtic can still qualify- despite winning just once in Europe this season. In third position in their group with just 5 points in as many games, The Bhoys’ must travel to Italy and beat Udinese if they are going to progress.

Celtic’s only win in this competition came against bottom team Rennes, and it looks a very tough task for them to travel out to Italy, where they have never won.

The Bhoys have struggled away form home in Europe for a long time, and Udinese are enjoying a fantastic season so far; Top of Serie A and 7 wins from 7 on home turf. The Italian club have let in just 2 league goals at home all season.

The reverse fixture at Celtic Park finished 1-1, both teams netting a penalty in an otherwise pretty dull game.

This match looks a completely different proposition though. The Bhoy’s have to come out all guns blazing against Udinese as only a win will do.

Udinese have been fantastic defensively, and will get plenty of goal scoring opportunities in what could become a very stretched game.

Udinese have already beaten both Rennes and Athletico Madrid at the Stadio Frulli, and it is certainly very difficult to envisage Celtic causing The Bianconeri too many problems here.

A home win is priced at 8/13 with Betfred, which looks a very good investment. Udinese have looked superb at home this season on both the European and domestic stage, and Celtic just don’t have the quality, and will leave themselves open as they must go for the win.
