The BTTS Coupon – 7th June
With less than a week until Brazil entertain Croatia in the opening game of this summer’s FIFA World Cup, it is reasonable to say that all eyes are cast towards the showpiece tournament.
However, there is also a lot of football to be played this weekend – including the climax to this season’s Spanish Segunda.
Spain’s second tier has been highly exciting once again and we’re backing these six teams all to find the target in their final matches.
Girona V Deportivo La Coruna
Both teams need a win in this one, but for completely different reasons. While the visitors could win the title with a win this weekend, Girona are in need of points in their quest to stay up.
The importance of this one could scarcely be greater and that should make for a fierce battle. Despite their lowly position, Girona’s home record is actually quite decent. The hosts have registered 32 strikes at the Montilivi, losing just four times on home turf all term.
However, Deportivo do boast the best away record in the division after picking up 11 wins in just 20 matches on the road. Promotion has already been sealed for Fernando Varquez’s side, but that won’t prevent them from giving it all in Catalonia.
The incentive to attack is there for both teams, we’re anticipating a cracking contest.

Sabadell V Recreativo Huelva
In a complete contrast to the game in Girona, Sabadell and Recreativo Huelva have almost nothing to play for in this end-of-season mid-table clash. However, we don’t think that will stop the goals from flowing at the Nova Creu Alta.
After 41 games, these two are separated by just two points in the Segunda standings and each of them are guaranteed a top-half finish. Both teams scored in January’s reverse fixture and there is nothing to make us think that won’t happen again here.
The visitors have scored 53 times this term, shipping the same number at the wrong end. Meanwhile, the hosts have a goal difference of -7 despite registering 52 goals of their own. Goals are commonplace in matches involving both of these teams and the season should finish with a similar theme.
A very difficult one to predict the outcome of, but we expect both sets of fans to be cheering at some stage in the proceedings.

Hercules V Barcelona B
Rock-bottom Hercules are already relegated, but will be hoping for a big finish in their final showdown with Barcelona B.
Despite their awful predicament, the hosts can at least be confident in finding the target against Barca B. Hercules have scored at a rate of just over once per game this season, while the visitors have shipped 26 in 20 away matches. The home fans should see their team score, even if the result is beyond them.
Barca B are set to finish in the play-offs, but know that promotion is not possible due to a ruling surrounding the same club having two teams in the same division. This could allow for them to slack off a little in defence.
Nevertheless, they will still attack well and should fancy their chances of notching against the league’s worst team.
