The BTTS Coupon – 31st May
Europe’s elite leagues have long ended, but there is still plenty of action to be had across the lesser known divisions.
This weekend we’re heading to the Spanish Segunda and have put together this BTTS treble from Saturday’s penultimate games of the season.
Good luck!
Mallorca V Las Palmas
At the Iberostar Stadion, home side Mallorca will be desperate for three points in their final home game of the season as they look to preserve their Segunda status. However, they may need at least a couple of goals to secure three points against Las Palmas.
A nine-match winless streak has left Mallorca just one point above the drop zone with two games remaining and Olaizolamust be wondering what he must do to lead his side to three points and promotion-chasing Las Palmas are the last team they’d want to face on Saturday.
However, the hosts can take heart from the fact the visitors do leak goals on the road. Las Palmas have allowed their opponents 28 goals in 20 away matches, although they have also notched 24 of their own. Combined with Mallorca’s home record of 25 for and 26 against, everything points towards a high scoring game at the Iberostar.
The incentive couldn’t be high for either team and a point doesn’t really suit either. Expect an attacking encounter.

Mirandes V Hercules
For Hercules, Saturday’s trip to Mirandes will be the last Segunda away game for some time as the rock-bottom visitors have already had relegation confirmed.
However, Slavisa Jokanovic’s side can be optimistic about picking up a rare win at Mirandes. The hosts haven’t won any of their last five matches and, with very little to play for, are caught in an end of season slump.
Hercules have been scoring on the road, registering 22 strikes in their 20 previous away matches. However, the figure of 39 conceded sheds a damning light on exactly why they are heading down a division.
Meanwhile, Mirandes boast 26 goals, but have additionally shipped 23 at Anduva. Carlos Tarrazas men will be expected to end their home season with a win, but are certainly vulnerable to leaking a goal also.
It probably won’t be a seven-goal thriller, but there is certainly reason to believe both teams will score.

Real Zaragoza V Sporting Gijon
Arguably the pick of Saturday’s Segunda action comes from the Estadio de la Romareda as Real Zaragoza host Sporting Gijon in a battle of the former La Liga sides.
While the visitors close in on a play-off spot, Zaragoza have endured an average season at best and currently occupy 13th place in the Segunda standings. However, a run of five points from three games will provide confidence as Victor Muoz’s side look to end their home campaign on a high.
Zaragoza’s results may be a little unpredictable, but there is a much more regular pattern when it comes to scoring in recent weeks. The hosts have found the net in 10 of their last 12 Segunda matches, with eight ending in BTTS winners – including each of the last three.
Meanwhile, the visitors boast a huge incentive to perform this weekend as a win could virtually seal their place in the promotion play-offs. Gijon have registered 23 goals on the road this term, although they have additionally shipped 29 at the wrong end.
The reverse fixture ended in Gijon edging a five-goal thriller; more of the same in Zaragoza would be perfect.
