Both Teams To Score Tips Saturday 17th January – Pardew’s Palace To Be Involved In Another Thriller
It has already been a manic January in English football and we’re expecting the drama to continue with plenty of goals on Saturday.
We’re backing these six teams to fire us to an 11/2 winner at Betfred this weekend by all finding the target at some stage and are optimistic of bashing the bookies with these selections.
Good luck!
Burnley V Crystal Palace
Alan Pardew’s reign at Crystal Palace started with a dominant FA Cup win at Dover before continuing with a fantastic 2-1 victory against Tottenham at Selhurst Park. The Eagles will be hoping to use that momentum to maximum impact as they head to Turf Moor.
However, the Clarets are starting to find the target far more regularly now and will be equally eager to win this relegation six-pointer. Sean Dyche’s men have now scored seven in their last three league matches and should really fancy their chances against an away side that has won just once on the road all season.
In order to increase their scoring abilities, though, the Clarets have sacrificed some of their defensive stability and have now gone five games without keeping a shutout. Palace’s attacking players will be eager to extend that run here.
September’s clash at Selhurst Park ended in a 0-0 stalemate but the circumstances of this one are completely different. Back both teams to score.

Wigan Athletic V Blackburn Rovers
Championship side Blackburn have been a favourite for BTTS punters this season and, whilst three of their past four matches saw at least one side fail to hit the target, we think there will be goals at either end as they take on the struggling Latics.
Blackburn have scored 35 and conceded 34 after 25 league matches, making Gary Bowyer’s side one of the most exciting for neutrals to watch. With deadly duo Jordan Rhodes and Rudy Gestede in attack, the visitors will certainly fancy their chances against a Wigan side that has lost three on the spin in all competitions.
Malky Mackay’s arrival hasn’t had the desired affect but the Latics can at least look to find the target against a Rovers side that have failed to keep a single clean sheet on the road since the end of September.
In fact, Blackburn’s last eight competitive away games all ended in BTTS winners. That form should continue here.

Port Vale V Peterborough United
Just one point separates Port Vale and Peterborough in the League One table and we think there will be plenty of action as these two sides collide this weekend.
Goals have been a regular feature at Vale Park this season, with the home side scoring 18 but conceding 16 from their 12 league matches. Likewise, Posh have netted 16 in 11 away games – although they have also let in 13 on the road.
Both sides reside just outside the play-offs right now so each will be determined to get their promotion bid back on track with an important victory here. The fact four goals were scored in the September clash at London Road should only further increase the chances of goals here.
Posh haven’t been quite as exciting to watch as they were last year but goals are still a regular feature for Darren Ferguson’s men, particularly on the road, and we hope that’ll continue at Vale Park.
