NFL Betting Tips Week 4
After another clean sweep last weekend I’m really on a roll and can’t wait to bring you this weeks selections for week 4 of the NFL. I’m doing fantastically well with my ‘anytime touchdown’ scorer bets and will continue with that trend although there are also som stand out point spresd bets that I just have to advise.
Without further ado here are my betting tips for this weekends football:
1. New Orleans Saints Vs. Miami Dolphins: Early Tuesday morning 01.40am
BET: Jimmy Graham TD anytime – no odds at time or writing
Here he is again. Jimmy had a great game for us once again last week, and I’d be a mug not to pick him again. This week the Saints travel to Miami to play the undefeated Miami Dolphins. But don’t be fooled by the record, I think Miami are going down big time on Monday Night Football.
In Week 2 the Dolphins gave up 320 passing yards to the Indianapolis Colts, and have averaged giving away 267 yards each week. They structure their defence around getting in a big pass rush and pressuring the QB into quick decisions and mistakes. But Miami are riddled with injuries and niggles in their front 7 this week, so I see them struggling to apply the same kind of pressure.
Also look for the Saints to get Jimmy Graham in some easy match-ups against 2nd string LBs in this one as once again Marques Colston will be attracting the attention on Miami’s No.1 CB. The odds should be pretty short, but anything over $1.60 is great value in my eyes, as this is about as close as you get can get a sure thing.
2. Baltimore Vs. Buffalo: Sunday 6.00pm
BET: Baltimore –3.0 (1.95 @ Bet365)
Baltimore travel to Buffalo this week as their 4th ranked rushing defence matches up against the 5th ranked rushing offence. But looking further into this Baltimore have so far played some very talented running team which they have shutdown, with none more impressive than in their 30-9 demolishing of a very, very strong Houston Texans team last week.
Their only blemish so far this season was in Week 1 against the ridiculous Denver Broncos offence, which they actually kept very quiet through near on half the game, and if they had of challenged a pass completion call it may of actually been a far different outcome.
Buffalo have not come up against a side with so much talent spread across the park so far this season, plus a look into their team health reveals that all though they have very few players out their entire defensive front 4 and some key players on offence are carrying injuries.
I’ll be looking at Baltimore to run away with this one comfortably in the end. Baltimore 27-16
3. Chicago Vs. Detroit 6.00pm Sunday
BET: Chicago to Win (2.30 @ Bet365)
Although this is played in Detroit, and maybe a very close match-up I just can’t ignore the value that $2.30 present for the Bears to win. They are coming off a complete rout of the Pittsburgh Steelers on their own turf, and with their defence in tremendous form I think that they will force Detroit QB Matthew Stafford into making too many forced throws and turnovers in this one.
Detroit are also missing a key WR in Nate Burleson for several weeks from a broken arm, this means that the Bears defence can concentrate on shutting down the impressive Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush, who returns from injury and so may not be quite 100%.
The Bears offence is 3rd in the league for points scored, and I see this continuing this week. The Bears are also +3.0 @ $1.90 if you want a bit more insurance. Bears 24-21
Other great value bets:
Denver Vs. Philadelphia: Sunday 9.25pm
BET: Eric Decker TD anytime – (2.10 Bet365)
This game could set all kinds of offensive records in a match-up between the 2 fastest offences in the league. Denver are averaging over 42 points a game this year, and this week they come up against a Eagles defence that allows the 6th most points and 3rd most passing yards a game.
It’s crazy that Decker is paying more than TE Julius Thomas to score. He some of the best hands in the league, so given the opportunity he won’t let us down….He should get plenty of opportunities in this one.
Bears Vs. Lions:
BET: Alshon Jeffery TD anytime – (3.25 Bet365)
Though he hasn’t scored a TD yet this season Jeffery is really starting to become a factor in this Bears offence. And at 6’3 he is a tough match-up in the end zone for any corner back. – Small stakes only recommended on this one. I have gone for a treble this week of Baltimore Ravens to win, Denver –3.5 and Indianapolis –3.0. This pays a touch over 3.00 @ bet365.
