Newcastle v Manchester United Sun 7th October: Fergie out to banish ghosts of Xmas past

Manchester United travel to the Toon on Sunday afternoon seeking revenge for the 3-0 drubbing they received last time they were in this neck of the woods.

The writing was on the wall for Fergie’s fledglings as early as half an hour in when Demba Ba roasted Ferdinand and sent the Geordies on their way to a famous win that was compounded by Phil Jones’ comical own goal in the dying embers of a game that United will be keen to forget.
