Friday Dutch Jupiler League Over 2.5 Goals Tips – Friday 13th April

Friday evening is now famous for the Dutch Jupiler League and the sheer amount of goals that are scored in Europe’s highest scoring division, but it has become visible over the last couple of weeks that there has been a definite decline in the amount being scored. Whether that’s because players are jaded from a tough season, or a tactical ploy, it’s certainly worth taking a bit more care over selections. Here are my best bets for Friday 13th April.

Top Oss v Fortuna Sittard 7.00pm Over 2.5 goals

Top Oss are responsible for the highest scoring games in the whole league. After 31 games played, Oss games average a huge 3.9 goals!

Positioned 14th in the league on 35 points, they have had a rather disappointing season, but are not at risk of being relegated, which should make for an open game. Of their 31 matches, 22 have contained 3 goals or more, making a over 2.5 goals strike rate of 71%.

Fortuna are in 9th position in the league, are in good scoring form, and a huge 80% of their away games have featured 3 goals or more. A definite selection for over 2.5 goals here.

Volendam v Emmen 7.00pm Over 2.5 goals

Emmen are still battling relegation tooth and nail, and need to start picking up some points quickly. They are bottom of the league on just 16 points, 2 points adrift of AGOVV, and a position of safety.

However, at present they show no signs of improvement, and have lost their last 9 consecutive matches, conceding 25 goals in the process.

Volendam have nothing to worry about as they are in 12th place on 41 points and in good form; collecting 9 points in their last 4. They have a 73% strike rate at home for over 2.5 goals.

MVV Maastricht v Go Ahead Eagles 7.00pm Over 2.5 goals

These teams are placed 8th and 11th respectively in the division and the signs are that this will be a nice and high scoring game. 73% of MVV’s home games have had 3 or more goals , and 6 of Go Ahead’s last 8 games have also been successful over 2.5 games.

Neither team is under pressure to defend, as their safety in the league is secure, but they are too far away from the top to create any waves.
