Football Accumulator Betting Tips Saturday 16th January – Saints To Go Marching On
Having landed a winning treble from last weekend’s FA Cup action, our attentions now turn back to crucial league action where we will be aiming to double our delight with this 4/1 selection.
We’re backing three home sides to all get the job done in style. Let’s hope that, by 5PM, we’ll be joining those respective fans in celebrating a fantastic win.
Good luck!
Southampton V West Bromwich Albion
It hasn’t been the best of season’s for Ronald Koeman’s Saints but two wins in their last three matches at St Mary’s suggests that they are on the road to recovery, and we’re backing them to pick up another vital victory as they take on the Baggies.
The hosts still have a pretty solid squad and the goals of Shane Long, Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane will always make them a danger. Wednesday’s performance and win over Watford will inspire confidence, and they can follow that up in style against Tony Pulis’s side.
West Brom are performing slightly above expectations and will take heart from a well fought draw at Stamford Bridge in midweek. However, the visitors do struggle for goals and that could prove to be their downfall here.
It might not be easy, but the home side should prevail.

In League One, Garry Caldwell’s Latics are on a five-game unbeaten run and will have serious hopes of challenging for one of the automatic promotion places. In truth, they should be expected to give their cause another push in the right direction with an easy three points against the Spireites.
Wigan possess some brilliant talent for this level, with Will Grigg and Michael Jacobs proving to be great sources of inspiration. With the visitors conceded 43 in 26 league outings this season, goals shouldn’t be a problem for the hosts.
Visiting Chesterfield aren’t a bad side and are currently enjoying a decent little run of their own. However, they have lost over half of their away games this season and could be in for a very difficult challenge here, especially against the economical home defence.
A win would put Wigan right back in amongst League One’s leading pack. That’s exactly what we expect them to do.
[quote_center]Wigan Athletic Win @ 4/6 with SkyBet[/quote_center]Plymouth Argyle V Stevenage
Plymouth suffered a potentially damaging defeat to title rivals Northampton on Tuesday night, but the Pilgrims will be determined to bounce back in emphatic style this weekend with an easy win against Stevenage. If they play to their potential, there’s no reason that Derek Adams’s men shouldn’t win with ease.
The hosts have a good record at Home Park and can rely on the goals of Reuben Ried, Jake Jervis, and Ryan Brunt to lead them to success against Teddy Sheringham’s strugglers. Stevenage have conceded 24 on their travels and also enter this clash on the back of a five-game winless streak.
Stevenage did claim a win in the reverse clash, but it will be a completely different story here as the hosts look to pull further clear of the promotion zone. This is the perfect chance to put their recent wobbles to bed, and the gulf of quality should shine through.
There are a few reasons to have doubts but at 17/20, it’s far too difficult to leave the Pilgrims out.
