Europa League Both Teams To Score Treble 14th Feb – Benfica Can Trouble German Hosts
We’ve reached the knockout stage of the Europa League, and with some of the big guns now competing after elimination from the Champions League, there’s going to be a few ego’s on show this Thursday night… But where are the goals coming from?
Once again I’ve got to recommend that stakes are on the cautious side as this competition can always throw up a few surprises, but that said, I’m pretty confident about Thursday’s Goals Galore treble:

Basel v Dnipro 8.05pm
Dnipro are a team that really impressed me in the group stage with their fearless mindset and attacking prowess; beating PSV both home and away as well as hammering Napoli 4-2 to win their group outright.
Although currently in their mid-season break, Dnipro have been kept busy with friendlies, with some impressive results. The Ukrainians have scored in ALL of their Europa League games this term, and should have too many problems hitting the net in Switzerland.
Basel finished runners up to Genk in their qualifying group and have a good home scoring record to boot, making this a very likely both teams to score game.
Bayer Leverkusen v Benfica 6.00pm
Two teams in great form could make this a great game with lots of goals. Leverkusen have been involved in some really high scoring games recently, and the 3-2 home loss they suffered against Dortmund suggests that free scoring Benfica should be more than hopeful of the crucial away goal.
Benfica have smashed in 29 goals in their last 10 games, and have failed to score just twice in the last 2 years. Granted, Leverkusen can be a tough defensive unit to break down, but the visitors will be in search of that vital away goal, and I think they’ll get it. 2-1 or 3-1 I reckon here.
Ajax v Steaua Bucharest 6.00pm
We know that Ajax can be lethal in the Amsterdam Arena, but they’ve been tripping up a bit recently, and I definitely feel that Steaua can get that all important away goal here, although a win for the Romanian outfit is pushing it a little bit!
Ajax were lumbered in the group of death in the Champions League; and it’s no surprise to see them in the Europa League after competing against Manchester City, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. Steaua is a big step down, but don’t under estimate the Romanians.
Steaua are 10 points clear in their domestic league, and have failed to score in just 1 of their 10 Europa League games this term, hitting the net in every away game.
I’m expecting the Dutch giants to progress, but believe you me, Steaua won’t make it an easy ride for them.
BetVictor go top industry odds about the above treble – £10 pays £54.70!
