English Football Betting Tips By Scott Mitchell
As the leagues have been under way for a couple of weeks it gives us a great insight into who will be vying for automatic promotion, who will be happy to settle for mid table mediocrity and who will be battling relegation. With this in mind here are me 3 best bets for the weekend.
QPR vs Middlesbrough
BET: QPR win – 17/20 William Hill
Middlesbrough are the draw specialists of the championship recently. They have managed a stalemate in 5/6 recent matches losing the only match they have failed to grab a solitary point from. The stat that catches my attention though is that they have conceded 12 goals in those 6 fixtures. They have fared better away from home this campaign losing 2 drawing 1 and winning 1, but if you look at their record away from home last season they finished the season with 11/12 losses drawing 1 winning 0.
QPR are undefeated in their 8 league matches, winning 6 losing 2. They have only conceded 2 goals all term and have kept a clean sheet in their last 6 matches. I’m sure that they will score at least 1 in this match, and with the defensive reinforcements Harry as brought in QPR can once again hold their opponents back.
Swansea vs Arsenal
BET: Arsenal win – 7/5 William Hill
Arsenal are a team on fire at the moment. They have won their last 8 fixtures and I really can’t resist the massive price on offer. New signing Mesut Ozil has already become the top assist maker in the premier league so far in this campaign.
Swansea were a tough nut to crack last season but have been found out this season. They have lost 2/3 home matches in the Premier League this term. In fact we have to go back 8 matches to find their last league win on home soil.
Captain Ashley Williams is a major doubt for this match through injury. Arsenal won this fixture easily in Wales last term 2-0.
Coventry vs Brentford
BET: Coventry win – 7/5 William Hill
Coventry started the season with a 10 point deduction, but have already gained enough points to jump above the league stragglers. They would be above opponents Brentford without the points deduction. Their rise from the ashes has been mainly due to their home success. They have won 3 of 4 matches, only a mad 4-4 draw with Preston N.E. blotting an impressive home record.
Brentford have only won 1//5 away matches, drawing 2 losing 2. The solitary win coming against a very poor Tranmere side who have only managed 5 points this season.
In addition former Tottenham trainee goalkeeper and Brentford No1 David Button is suspended for this match following his sending off against Bradford.
I’m taking Coventry to continue their fine home form.
