Swansea v Everton 12.45pm
Swansea have surprised everyone with their amazing start under Michael Laudrup this season, but they were brought crashing down to earth last weekend when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.
The Swans will be looking to return to scoring ways this weekend, and after already scoring 9 goals in front of home fans in just 4 games so far, I’m confident they will score against rampant Everton.
The Toffees have been fantastic so far this season, and as well as looking more of a potent attacking threat this term, they are also liable to concede, as shown last Sunday against Newcastle in their 2-2 draw at Goodison. This game could go either way in terms of result, but both teams should score.
Southampton v Aston Villa 3.00pm
The Saints won’t be collecting too many points this season, but you can be sure that they will score their fair share of goals.
Although losing their first 4 games in the top flight, Southampton have already scored against Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal, and I’m backing them to both score and concede when Aston Villa visit St. Mary’s.
Villa have picked up after a lacklustre start with a hard fought 1-1 draw at Newcastle, followed up by a 2-0 beating of in-form Swansea last weekend. Paul Lambert appears to have picked up his young squads confidence levels, and I’m predicting them to pick up at least a score draw on Saturday afternoon.
Sheffield Wednesday v Bolton 3.00pm
Sheffield Wednesday will be looking for an immediate bounce-back after a 3-1 home loss to Huddersfield on Tuesday evening, and they will feel that Bolton are there for the taking after a disappointing start from The Trotters.
Bolton have won just 1 of their last 5 games in all competitions, but they have at least managed to find the net in all of their last 6 games, as well as concede.
Wednesday have scored and conceded in all 3 of their home games to date; scoring 7 and conceding the same number. This should make for a goal filled game. Get on both teams to score.
