Dutch Jupiler League Over 2.5 Treble – Friday 16th March
I’ve been at Cheltenham for the last couple of days, and while I can appreciate that it is the sport of kings and The Festival is the pinnacle of European jump racing… Football is where my heart is, and on a Friday evening my true love is the sound of the Futbol24 goal buzzer when the Dutch 2nd division kicks off at 7.00pm! Here is my Friday over 2.5 treble for the highest scoring league in European football.
Go Ahead Eagles v Willem II 7.00pm
Go Ahead are really getting amongst the goals lately, and they concede just as easily as they score.
They’ve scored 15 in their last 5, including a 7-2 thumping of Top Oss and a 1-3 home loss to Eindhoven. Go Ahead Eagles games have a season average of 84.6% of games containing over 2.5 goals.
Willem II are going through a bad spell at present, and have lost 5 of their last 6 on their travels, but at the very least have managed to score in 4 of these games.
Veendam v Almere City 7.00pm
Both teams have very high averages for over 2.5 goals here; Veendam 75.0% of games and Almere 76.9.
Almere won the reverse fixture 3-0 earlier in the season, and though they are without a win in their last 6 away games, Veendam concede plenty of goals, something that Almere have no problems providing.
Veendam lost their last home game 4-0 to Go Ahead Eagles, and this does seem an easier test for them, but both teams will feel they can take this game.
Dordrecht v Emmen 7.00pm
Dordrecht are the kings of over 2.5 goals when playing at home. 11 of their 13 home games have featured 3 goals or more, and Dordrecht have been responsible for at least 2 of those goals in every match.
Emmen are rock bottom of the league with just 16 points from 26 games played.
They’ve conceded 34 goals in their 13 road games and have been on the receiving end of some big losses in their last few games.
Dordrecht can really take advantage of Emmen’s defensive weaknesses and I can see them getting a hatful here.
The above treble pays a best price of just under 11/4 with Bet365
