Sparta Rotterdam v MVV Maastricht 7.00pm

Table toppers Sparta Rotterdam will fancy their chances against 4th placed MVV here, but I think it is asking a bit too much for them to keep a clean sheet.

On the whole Sparta have been a solid unit defensively, but they’ve failed to keep clean sheets against some pretty average teams in the last couple of months, and will be attempting to gain their first shutout in 5 games here.

MVV are a good team who are struggling with consistency lately, and although you can’t bank on them to win games at present, they have scored at least 1 goal in their last 14 consecutive league games.

Combine that with the fact that Sparta have scored in every home game this season and I think we’re on to a both teams to score winner.

Cambuur v Helmond Sport 7.00pm

Cambuur can hardly be described as prolific goalscorers, but they score when it matters, and while it’s normally just the odd goal that they win their games by, they’ve only failed to score on 1 occasion on home turf this season.

Visitors Helmond are really getting amongst the goals again after mid season lull, and with 29 goals being scored in their last 7 games, you’d expect this to be a really open game with plenty of opportunities.

Both teams have scored on the last 4 occasions these teams have met, most recently with Helmond beating Cambuur 3-1 in the reverse fixture this season back in November.

FC Eindhoven v Dordrecht 7.00pm

Dordrecht have conceded a whopping 17 goals in their last 6 games as their horrific form slump continues, and while FC Eindhoven have lost their last 6 games and scored just 1 goal, I really fancy this game to ignite and be full of chances.

The visitors are now down to 10th place in the table and can’t buy a win at the moment, but must be hoping for a turnaround against the team that possess the weakest home defence in the league. However, Dordrecht concede an average of 2 goals in every away game and can’t be trusted defensively despite being up against a bad side.
