There are a few matches in the world of football that demand the attention of fans across the world but El Classico is exactly that. The two sides meet tonight in the Copa Del Rey and this is the first of two meetings that will grace our TV screens over the next week as they meet again in La Liga on Saturday evening.
I’m not going to pretend that the Europa League is one of my favourite betting mediums… It isn’t. But one thing it does have going for it is the fact that these games really confuse the bookmakers, and you quite often see them going all over the shop with their odds.

Bayern Munich travel to North London tomorrow night as favourites to both win the match and all but end Arsenal’s season in the same breath.
Following embarrassing domestic cup exits to first Bradford and then Blackburn at home on Saturday, Arsene Wenger’s side are teetering on the brink of being out of every competition by early March as they stare down the barrel of yet another trophy-less season at the Emirates.
Given that plenty of more gifted scribes than I have dedicated valuable column inches to airing their views regarding Arsene Wenger and his tenure at Arsenal in recent months, I feel almost reluctant to broach the subject.
However, having been an Arsenal fan for pretty much as long as I can remember – and having witnessed the Gunners once again dumped out of a cup competition by a lower league team at the weekend – I feel the overwhelming need to stick my oar in, too.
