Roger Schmidt’s side might not be thrilled with their current position of sixth in the Bundesliga, but they did win each of the last two games leading into the international break and could move into the Champions League qualification zone, at least on a temporary basis, with three points in Friday’s massive contest.

Like the hosts, Wolfsburg are a little short of where they’d like to be now. However, like Bayer, a win on Friday night would close the gap to where they want to be and pile the pressure on those playing later in the weekend.
