Banker Accumulator Saturday 9th March – Wigan No Match For Toffees At Goodison
It’s Saturday again and what better way to start the weekend off with a banker treble on the football to set up the rest of your day. We’ve got a mixture of FA Cup and league action this weekend, but there are a few games that look perfect to club together to make a sharp looking acca.
This is where my money will be going today:
EVERTON v Wigan 12.45pm
Odds – 4/9 William Hill
The FA Cup means a lot to David Moyes and Everton, and they should really have the beating of a Wigan side that were thumped 4-0 at home by Liverpool last weekend.
Wigan have made heavy weather of getting this far in the competition, and although Everton are guilty of that to a certain extent by failing to finish Oldham off at the first attempt, the Toffees are a formidable team at Goodison Park, with just Chelsea beating them in front of home fans this season.
The visitors first priority has top be avoiding relegation, and I’m taking Moyes and his team to win pretty comfortably and book their place in the semi-finals.
Clyde v QUEENS PARK 3.00pm
Odds – 8/13 William Hill
Queens Park have been the subject of a gamble all week to take the victory here and it’s not difficult to see why. The visitors have only lost 1 of their last 9 games away from home and are banging in goals for fun recently. While there is no chance of catching Rangers at the top of the table, Queens Park will want to secure 2nd spot and are definitely going about it the right way.
Clyde managed to pull of a win against Peterhead last weekend, but with 4 losses and just 3 goals scored in their last 5 games, you have to feel that Queens Park, with any kind of performance, will take the points here as they already have done once this season (3-0 26th Feb). A win today would complete the season quadruple over their opponents.
WATFORD v Blackpool 3.00pm
Odds – 4/5 William Hill
Bookies appear to be letting the Hornets escape under their radar at present, and I feel they should be much shorter than the odds available to beat a Blackpool side that have won just 2 of their last 15 games in all competitions.
Watford have lost just 1 of their last 10 games and have a number of players that appear to be in great goal scoring form lately, something that Blackpool could only dream of (The Seasiders have scored 1 goal in their last 5 games).
I’ve been really impressed with the home side lately- Gianfranco Zola has got them playing some great football, and if they continue in their current form they may even be able to win the Championship.
The above treble pays best at William Hill where a £10 stake will return £42.00 (3.2/1)
