Arsenal V Sunderland Live – Gunners To Fly At Emirates
Arsenal V Sunderland
Wednesday 20th May. 7:45PM. Sky Sports 1
The final week of Premier League action has arrived and it continues with a fascinating contest between Arsenal and Sunderland.
Whilst a lot of teams already know their fate, both Arsene Wenger and Dick Advocaat still have some work to do over the last couple of matches. It should be a cracker at the Emirates.
Come on.

Gunners To Confirm Top Three Finish
A late equaliser at Old Trafford last weekend has left the Gunners on the cusp of a top three finish and Wenger will be expecting his side to cement that position with another home win at Sunderland. With third place gaining automatic qualification to the Champions League group phase, it is imperative that the Gunners don’t disappoint.
Arsenal should be eager to bounce back from the shock loss to Swansea in their previous home game and the frontline of Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Oliver Giroud will be confident about adding to their personal tallies here.
Despite the loss to Swansea, Arsenal did lay well in that game and Sunderland are unlikely to resist the Gunners – who had won nine consecutive home games prior to the draw with Chelsea. The hosts have scored 37 from just 17 home games this term, conceding just 13 at the Emirates, so we’d be very surprised if they don’t get the better of Advocaat’s men.
It has been another season of ups and downs for the Gunners but they could yet finish second in the league as well as retaining their FA Cup. It’s an important three games ahead, expect them to start the run in style.
Black Cats To Run Out Of Luck
Just as Sunderland looked in trouble, new boss Advocaat has sparked a resurgence that has clawed the Black Cats towards safety. The visitors have been fortunate during their recent four game unbeaten run but they’ll need a huge slice of luck to take anything from the Emirates.
Sunderland aren’t quite safe just yet and will be a little concerned about the possible threat of relegation. However, only big final day finishes both Newcastle and Hull can condemn the Black Cats to next year’s Championship and Advocaat’s men should be safe regardless of Wednesday night’s result.
The visitors haven’t performed well on the road, winning just three away games all term. Additionally, they’ve lost each of the last four encounters with Arsenal and haven’t ever claimed victory at the Emirates.
Strange things can happen at this time of year, but we can’t envisage the Black Cats causing an upset. Fortunately for the visitors, it shouldn’t make a difference to their survival.
Arsenal V Sunderland Betting Tips
Arsenal are obviously the heavy favourites for this clash and are priced just 3/10 with Bet365. Meanwhile, the draw can be backed at 5s and Sunderland are a massive 10/1 to consolidate their Premier League status with a shock triumph.
The Gunners will be determined to bounce back from the shock loss to Swansea and will additionally be hoping to confirm their progress to the Champions League stage.
Meanwhile, they’ll also be looking to build momentum ahead of the FA Cup final against Aston Villa and we’re expecting them to be far too strong for the visitors.

The Arsenal players will be highly motivated as they look to seal a place in Wenger’s starting XI at Wembley and we’re anticipating some big performances from Arsenal’s star performers.
Standing out as the greatest talent in the Arsenal squad is marquee signing Sanchez, who has enjoyed a fantastic first season at the Emirates. We’re backing the Chilean to break the deadlock once more.
